AGRIBUSINESS

From the Field to a Better Future

EagleNet Agribusiness is building local capacity across the rice value chain - from farming and farmer partnerships through milling, processing, packaging, and distribution. Our goal is to strengthen local production, create economic opportunity, and contribute to more resilient food systems.

WHY RICE

Rice is a staple food across West Africa. At the same time, global conflict, supply-chain disruption, and economic uncertainty continue to demonstrate the importance of resilient domestic food-production capacity. Africa has extensive agricultural potential, and we believe more of the value associated with food production can be created locally.

OUR CURRENT JOURNEY

EagleNet has been engaged in rice farming for approximately three years. We are growing deliberately rather than claiming large-scale production before it exists. Our operations include direct farming, access to irrigated land through government leasing arrangements, partnerships with local farmers, and our own rice milling capability, which is being expanded.

GROWING TOGETHER

Farmer Partnership Model

Our approach to growth extends beyond the land we cultivate directly. Through an input scheme, EagleNet supplies seed to participating local farmers and provides a route to market through a buy-back arrangement for suitable harvested rice. The crop can then enter our milling and distribution value chain.

The Value Chain

Production

  • Rice Farming

Direct cultivation and practical experience in rice production, including work on irrigated agricultural land.

  • Milling & Processing

Our own milling capability helps connect agricultural production to local transformation and higher-value finished products.

Market & Impact

  • Packaging & Distribution

The long-term value chain extends beyond production into consistent packaging, distribution, retail, and stronger local market access.

  • Food Security & Resilience

Increasing local production and processing can reduce vulnerability, retain more value locally, and create employment.
